ACOUSTICS IN BUILDINGS

One of the aims of the newly passed Spanish Building Technical Code (CTE), where acoustics are concerned, is the protection against noise (CTE DB-HR), which constitutes a control of the basic quality requirements in buildings in Spain.

In all cases and countries, the requirements set out in statutes, regulations, codes and by-laws, concerning acoustics.

It is fundamental that the acoustic consultant is present in the four main phases:

  • PRELIMINARY STUDY – Environmental Impact Survey
  • Basic PROJECT and fulfilment
  • On site TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE
  • Quality CONTROL and ACOUSTIC CERTIFICATION

Our specialised equipment, technical personnel, and collaboration with the independent laboratory LABQUEZAR®, enables us to perform prediction surveys and acoustic testing in areas with acoustic insulation and conditioning in different kinds of buildings:

  • Prediction survey for INSULATION SOLUTIONS (UNE-EN 12354)
  • Projects, surveys and SIMULATIONS of acoustic conditioning in public buildings (Reverberation time monitoring)
  • Intelligibility, noise, insulation, impact and vibrations surveys
  • Risk analysis, compared with alternatives
  • Reports and INSPECTIONS regarding compliance with regulations
  • Acoustic quality control in the building on site
  • Acoustic CERTIFICATION

All tests and surveys are carried out in accordance with the ISO and UNE-EN regulated procedures corresponding to each type of test, and the results are assessed on the basis of prevailing regulations.
